I found my picture on abclocal.go. I picked this picture because I think it shows just how invested all of the Egyptian people are in there cause (So you know the little boy is making a baricade). The things I love about this photo are it's use of the rule of thirds and leading lines.
The main (and really only) thing I think could have made it better is if the photographer could have gotten rid of all of the dead space at the top of the photo (I mean, that shed-thing is pretty distracting) My best guess would be to crop the photo in half (horizontally of course). Other than that I think this photo is just amazing.
I agree- really great photo, but too much dead space above the boy!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great photo. And maybe with a bit of playing around with the angle and that sort, the photographer could have made it stronger by getting rid of some of that negative space, although I don't think it's that distracting as is.
ReplyDeleteIt's always good to look at photographs and see what might have been better. It helps us think about those things as we get ready to take a photograph.
Great job! Thanks so much Reagan!
I don't know . . . if you cut the space above the boy you cut the billowing, black smoke that I can almost smell as I look at it.
ReplyDelete^ agreed. But if the guy had maybe taken the photo from behind the boy or in front of the pile of tires it could've given the same affect with less background and more subject.
