Photojournalism and Bug on flower
Photojornalism?
I have found this to be a really challenging assignment! I guess I don't feel like I see very much that warrants that type of title to the picture. Not that much drama in my life!
I did think the Karate belt tests on Tuesday night were pretty exciting, so here is my attempt at photojouralism. I debated about cropping the 2nd one, but then they woul have all been staring at the edge of the picture!
Photojournalism...I think.

Today my aunt and cousin flew in from Houston and as we were pullin into the airport to pick them up I wanted to capture my cousin's reaction...so, this is what I got:) haha
Sorry, but this is the only one I got...Nothing at home was interesting enough and if I wasnt at home I was at the bluebonnet field taking portraits so I didnt have much to work with...atleast in my opinion...So, I guess I need to work on some more photojournalism!:)
Portrait?
I asked him to move away from the pipe behind him, but he wasn't budging! Still, I thought he was awfully pretty. I have tried to upload my original panorama several times and blogger won"t take it. I guess it is too large a file? Nine pictures stitched together would be a rather large file, I guess. Is there some way I can fix it so it will upload, Dave?
Week....? What week is this?
Week of Photojournalism I guess :P

Okay-so this is my first bug photo, but I was informed by my sister that I wasn't allowed to "place" my bug..... ah well.

TX bluebonnets...just cause:)

Wow, I cant believe I was out taking bluebonnet pictures literally RIGHT before the challenge was posted! haha. They dont have bugs though so I still have to take more....I wanted to post these anyway:) Happy Springtime!:)
Challenge of the Week ! ! !
Ok, here's this week's challenge...
BEES & BUGS on FLOWERS!
We've been learning a lot and I think
you're ready for a real challenge! ;o)
So, take a picture of a bee or a bug on a flower. You get a bonus for catching on in flight!!!
I took these three photos today. It took me about 150 photos and 40 minutes to get them!!! So have patience!!!
* Pick a flower, setup the camera on your tripod and wait for the bee or bug to come to the flower. That way you don't have to chase the bee around trying to get a shot of it. If you chase it around , you will keep scaring the insect and keep it on the move!
* Carefully cover up other flowers around to force the insects to have to land on your flower!
GOOD LUCK & HAPPY SHOOTING!

Homework for this week. . . Photojournalism
Ok, wow, this weekend has been busy! Ok Here is the homework for this week. Find THREE definitive moments and shoot them. They can be of the same situation or they can be of to or three different situations. But be sure that you don't pose the moment in any way. Also, the photos must be of people doing something. Have fun with it and happy shooting!
I will be posting the challenge of the week a bit later. Gotta get to church!!!
Here are a few shots I just got yesterday of Chaz for his senior portraits.

Panoramic, finally!

I got the Panoramic software to work, and cropped it in Photoshop7, but could not figure out how to even out the color. This is the problem with working on a partly cloudy evening! I love the way it turned out except for that though. The camera was on automatic everything.
So, Dave, where can we get a panoramic picture printed, if we wanted to do that?

Wednesday, March 23, 2011

Well, it seems I wont be able to post any homework this time...I tried more than once to get the panorama that we took in class last time to stitch together properly but couldn't get it...sorry! I tried... I also can't try to create a panorama on my own cause, well, you saw Mr. Dave, how my tripod broke at the end of class last time and us having Spring Break and then being out of town this week until tomorrow I'm afraid I havent been able to get a new one to complete my homework with! ): I'm sorry...ugh, guess these things just happen sometimes! :pAnd, as for the pictures above...I took these on my brother's 8th birthday a month ago (so, it is a recent pic) and decided to post them since i needed a photo with this post!!:)
Hope everyone enjoyed their spring break! Cant wait til class on Friday!:)
Paaaaaanoramas!

Here's the co-op pic we all took >>>>
Mom helped me to crop out all the crookedness of the original.

This pic was really messed up when I downloaded it! I was trying to do one with the sun AND the moon, but I apparently kept moving (like you said we would do, haha- I kept thinking about that), and so I only got 3 out of the 5 that I took that actually merged together.

Portrait and Panorama
Sorry this is a little late -- but here it is! The first picture is a portrait I took earlier this week at some railroad tracks. I tried my best to blur out the cars in the background, so hopefully they won't be too noticeable, sorry. :) Below that is my panorama image of a swing set at the park. Both were only slightly photoshopped. Enjoy!
