Hi Reagan, thanks for getting it posted. Ok, great idea for the portrait, however there's a lot of empty space around the subject. Try zooming in and getting closer to focus more on the subject. Rule one - get close. Rule two - get closer! Same with the food. It looks delicious, but don't be afraid to get closer and get rid of all that negative space. Play with it this week with your three next portrait. Have fun and happy shooting!
