Telephoto Normal Wide Angle
Today was a beautiful day for shooting. I hope everyone took advantage of the nice weather to go out and shoot! I did, so here's my take on the class assignment. Note, that as I zoom in and get closer to the subject, the narrower the depth of field. In the telephoto shot, the bricks in the background get out of focus very quickly. In the photo shot with no zoom, all the bricks are not quite as out of focus. The wide angle shot has the greatest depth of field and all the bricks are in focus. Remember, the closer you are to a subject and the more zoomed in your are, the narrower the depth of field. And, of course, the further away you are and more zoomed out you are, the greater the depth of field. Pretty cool, hu?!
